The 2027 CAPiTA The Black Snowboard of Death, better known as the B.S.O.D., continues its legacy as one of snowboarding’s most respected high-performance freeride boards. Built for riders who demand precision, stability, and confidence at speed, the B.S.O.D. combines the Alpine V1 Directional profile with Flat Kick Tech for aggressive edge hold, smooth turn release, and dependable control through steep and technical terrain. The Thermopolymer Hover Core™ works alongside new 4 × FAIRMAT Carbon Amplifiers, Carbon Fleece reinforcement, and an Amplitex V-Tech Amplifier to create a ride that feels powerful, damp, and responsive without unnecessary weight. Finished with the Hyperdrive™ base and Moonshot Omni-Tune™, the B.S.O.D. is designed to carve hardpack, charge through rough conditions, and stay composed when the terrain gets serious.

Camber Profile
- Alpine V1 Directional + Flat Kick Tech – Traditional camber through the center of the board provides powerful edge hold, response, and drive, while flat sections through the tail and reverse camber in the nose improve float and smoother turn release in technical terrain.
- Extended Camber Through the Tail – Added camber length in the tail increases stability, energy transfer, and control at higher speeds and through aggressive freeride terrain.

- Directional Flex – Slightly softer in the nose with a more supportive tail for added float, drive, and control through steep lines and variable snow.
