• Directional Shape – Freeride-focused directional geometry built for confident forward riding through steep terrain, powder, and high-speed turns.
• Recess3D – Precision CNC shaping removes material from the center of the tip and tail to reduce weight and swing weight while retaining thicker edges for structure. The updated shaping helps make the Alchemist lighter, quicker, and easier to maneuver while maintaining its planted, chatter-resistant feel.

Core

• S1 Pro Core – K2's most advanced core is hand-assembled from 78 individual wood pieces. Lightweight paulownia in the tip and tail reduces swing weight, full-length bamboo stringers provide damping and absorb chatter, and aspen reinforcement underfoot adds strength and responsive energy transfer.

Laminates

• Triax Glass – Fiberglass woven at 45° / 45° / 0° increases torsional stiffness for stronger edge hold, greater stability, and a more responsive ride.
• Spectral Braid™ – K2's variable-angle reinforcement fine-tunes longitudinal flex and torsional stiffness for powerful edge hold and smooth, predictable turn initiation.
