K2 Hypnotist 2024 Snowboard
The internal team at K2 Snowboarding has been dreaming of the hypnotist for a few years, and there is no better time than the present to release their baby. This all-new premium freestyle snowboard is built for the more advanced to expert snowboarder, transitions, on hips, and on medium to large terrain park features.
K2 leaned on their trusty tri-blend BAP core as the foundation for the Hypnotist. They added Carbon DarkWeb™ to speed up transitions from edge to edge, and their new tip-to-tail Carbon Backbone™ to increase snap.
To help you spin that extra 180 degrees, reduce swingweight, and decrease chatter in the tip and tail, K2 replaced the tip and tail of the core with SpaceGlass™ construction, lighter and harder than wood, SpaceGlass™ puts the Hypnotist in a league all of it’s own. K2 finish it all off with a wax-infused 4001 Sintered Base from Crown - the hardest, fastest, base material that they offer.
Camber Profile
Twin Camber - Full camber all the way out near the contact points provide the most responsive and stable platform for powerful and precise freestyle maneuvers under any terrain and any condition.
Shape
True Twin - Ride regular or switch and you're in for a good time. If you were to fold this board in half, you would find perfect symmetry from tip to tail. Jib, spin and stomp with confidence and perfect balance.
Flex
Flex Rating – 7/10 (1=Playful, 10=Precise)
Core
BAP - A core made from Bamboo, Aspen and Paulownia. A blend of three renewable species which make a strong and lightweight core, with plenty of dampening.
Laminates
Spaceglass Tip & Tail - Spaceglass construction is lighter and harder than wood, which reduces chatter and swingweight, so you can squeeze that extra spin in.
Carbon Backbone - Increases the snap of the board, without making the tip and tail unneccesarily stiff.
Carbon Darkweb - A carbon layup that helps direct power where you need it, by speeding up edge to edge transitions.
Triax Glass - Glass laminate with diagonal layers to add torsional stiffness to the board.
Base
Sintered 4001 Base – A wax infused sintered base, which is the hardest and fastest sintered material from Crown, this base holds wax longer for a smoother ride.
