2025 Nidecker Supermatic Bindings
The Nidecker Supermatic is what snowboarding has been waiting for: the first universal, dual-entry, automatic binding. Many brands have tried and failed to crack the step-in code. Most of these systems required specific boots; many didn’t work well in powder; and none of them were as comfortable and reliable as a regular two-strap binding. Nidecker spent four years developing their own solution that addresses all these issues, and it’s a genuine game changer.
The Supermatic works using a triggered hiback we call Drop In tech. Just push your foot in through the back and step down on the heel pedal to automatically engage the binding. That’s it – you’re ready to shred. A simple release lever makes exiting just as rapid. The straps are the same comfy AuxTech design found on our traditional high-end bindings. Adjust them once, then lock them in place using the Locking Slap Ratchets to enjoy a perfect fit every time. The beauty of this system is that it works with any boot from any manufacturer, and there’s no fiddly mechanism to get clogged. If the slope or snow conditions demand it, you can even strap in just like a regular binding.
Nidecker built the Supermatic using tried-and-trusted materials found throughout their line. The baseplate is constructed from bulletproof glass-filled-nylon, with a Slip-N-Grip plate that helps your toe glide in over the pad to make entry even easier. Likewise, they added a roller to the heelcup for buttery smooth operation of the hiback trigger. Finally, the nylon Asym Hadron hiback is designed for a perfect fit, with a responsive flex and an integrated forward lean adjuster for full customization.
Overall it’s a mid-stiff binding which the Nidecker team have rated as their most comfortable to date. They've tested it everywhere – on groomers, steep-n-deep freeride lines and in the park – with input from riders of every kind. Bottom line: it’s a speed-entry system you can trust. BASEPLATE

Nylon Multidisk – 4HP + 3HP + Channel
- Release Lever – Push to unlock the engagement system and lift your boot up & out. The release lever is located on the medial side of the baseplate for maximum ergonomic effi ciency and protection from external triggers.
- Heel Pedal – The heel pedal activates the automatic closing of the hiback and straps, and locks the engagement system. This mechanism is self-cleaning to avoid snow build-up, and there are three engagement clicks for increased security.
- Heelcup Roller – The heelcup roller reduces friction and guides the heel of the boot down, for buttery-smooth entry and exit.
- Slip-N-Grip Plate – Reduces friction with the outsole of your snowboard boot. Allows you to easily slide in and out, without compromising the underfoot comfort of 2.5° Bankbeds.
HIGHBACK
- Asym Hadron-Hiback – Lightweight nylon hiback with asymmetrical contour to perfectly fit Nidecker's asymmetrical boot cuffs, especially at canted riding angles.
- Reclining Highback – The Reclining Hiback creates the fastest automatic entry system. It fully folds down, creating a large opening to conveniently drop in your boot.
STRAPS
- Hybrid ExoFrame PowerStrap – Designed to feel and work like a two-strap, the Hybrid strap’s ankle-toe connection keeps the straps in place for easy entry. It also transfers energy more efficiently and allows the straps to be ridden a bit less tight.
- Hexo Toe Cap with Aux Tech – A 3D Hinged Auxetic pattern for unmatched formfitting the toebox of your boot.
- Active Strap – As you recline the hiback, the footstrap gets actively lifted out of the way, so you can easily and conveniently get your boot in and out. The straps hug your boot with the tightness at which you first set them, each & every time you drop in.
BUCKLES
- Locking Strap Ratchets (LSR) – Locking Slap Ratchet buckles lock down to secure your preferred footstrap tightness. Either Set-it and Forget-it for the Automatic mode, or just use them like regular buckles for the two-strap experience.
